Thermal Hire has a long history of providing heat treatment services at oil refineries and petrochemical processing plants across the world; from one-day emergency repairs to full FCCU turnaround projects.
Services carried out include; batch furnace heat treatment of fabrications, local preheat & PWHT (electrical resistance and induction), gas-fired PWHT of large vessels and refractory dry outs.
We strive to provide solutions where others are not able to, accommodate special requirements and overcome technical challenges. As well as providing local preheat and PWHT services to customers throughout the defence industry we have also fabricated temporary furnace structures on customer sites where product movement is not feasible.
At our Hartlepool and Wigan works we have an array of high-capacity furnaces which have proved to be ideal for processing products in the country's largest defence projects.
With over 40 years experience in heat treatment the company has become familiar with some of the most challenging customer and industry requirements. Few come more exacting than the aerospace industry where Thermal Hire is uniquely placed to provide heavy-duty heat treatment solutions with aerospace-level precision and control. The various configurations of our batch heat treatment furnaces offer a wide range of processing possibilities including 20 tonne water and polymer quench up to 12m long x 3m wide x 2m high.
